Personal Response
I was shocked when The Rock(Dwayne Johnson) who plays the juvy officer that helps these troubled boys, he comes up with the idea to let these boys have a second chance and be in a Gridiron team together I thought he was crazy because there were boys who were in different gangs and crews. The part i'm referring to is when Dwayne says "On the Gridiron, we do it my way, not your way. Your way got you here. Whatever gang you claim, whatever hood you're from, this is your hood now. Why don't we call peace here". This shocked me because even though they have all these differences between there gangs they decided to put that behind them and work together. This relates to me because it's the same with our Canterbury team even though all our different clubs have problems/rivalry's with each other we have put that aside and became one and became brothers.
I really respected The Rock(Dwayne Johnson) with his work-ethic and resilience with these boys. Even though he en counted hurdles and obstacles along the way he still stuck strong and to his words. He went through budget cuts, team problems and had to overcome stereotypes he still stayed with them. He made a big difference on his own from changing to 10% getting released and staying out of jail to 75-80%. I relate to that by having to over come injuries, concussions, not having the numbers at training and put-downs but I keep trying and we manage to pull through but that is nothing compared to what these boys had to go through
