Personal Response
I relate to this movie because it shows how hard trying new things in the real world is and how different people act. The movie was showing that these young boys just wanted to play the game the aspire to do as maybe a job when they are grown and that they'll try anything for this to work. The blacks do this by joining the team even though that the whites have all signed up and they done it anyways because they love the game that much. I link to this because I sign up for sports even though older and better players have signed up because I love playing sport that much that it's better to try and not get in then no trying because you'll definitely not getting in.
I was shocked when the black members of the team were denied access into a white mans establishment and were told by the owner that he would rather serve animals than let a single black person dine in his restaurant. This is seen when the team goes out and celebrates after there first win and after they have learnt to trust each other. I link to this because whenever I get into a team with people that are older and better I always get accepted no matter how big, good or old I am and they acknowledge these things about me and they help me out and treat me with respect just like how they would like to be treated by myself.
